I got this couch for free from FB. I really like it and I even love the pink fabric but the cushions were ruined some how so the original owner removed the fabric. Now I don’t know what to use to cover them with? I’ve tried finding the original fabric with no luck but I knew that was going to be a long shot.
What would you reupholster the cushions with?

chrissybee : Great sofa! I wouldn’t try to replicate the existing fabric. Instead, I would play with contrast: a fabric with a more modern design for the seat cushions – the stripes one below would work very nicely- while still connecting in terms of color/tone. Add several solid decorative cushions, and you’d have a unique interpretation of Victorian:

chrissybee : I second the suggestion from claroquesi : . The contrasting pattern in similar shades would be lovely.
Also, nice find! That couch is AMAZEBALLS! Please post photos when it’s done. I saw a similar couch 2 years ago sitting next to a dumpster in North Las Vegas. It had dark wood legs/trim and blue velvet fabric and (I was told) it weighed about 300lbs. It was stunning.
