Help me figure out why this dress looks like it doesn't fit me properly?

Hi Bee!  Tbh, I don’t really see the bulge. I mean maaaybe because you pointed it out, but not something I’d notice otherwise.  I’m also petite with a small bustline.  When I tried on dresses with pre-sewn and molded cups, they were usually a standard C cup, which looked large on me (think area and circumference).  I mention this because if you’re used to your chest looking a certain way (with the bras that you wear), then you’ll notice slight differences.  As long as you’re comfortable moving around and waving your arms up in the air on the dance floor, then you’re good to go!!  🙂

OP, the alterations were really well done & you are gorgeous in your dress!! I don’t see a bulge – just a beautiful bride! Congratulations 🙂

bridetobe19x :  you look like you have more boobage than  you say you do, for one. As for the fit I think something is happening where the solid fabric stops and becomes just lace, like it gets tighter there when it shouldn’t or something

bridetobe19x :  i dont notice it as much in the new pictures. I was commenting on the original pic. While nit a “professional” i do sew and i think it could have been, or if its still an issue still could be corrected by letting out some of the seam under the the arm hole.

This is a huge improvement! I was going to say in the original I felt it looked weird because it had equal illusion neckline to bust area. So it almost made your boobs look like they sit too far down on your body. The alterations completely fixed that.

Is the dress comfortable? Is the bulges only noticeable to you when you have your arms up (like holding a bouquet?). I don’t think its super noticeable. I think I see where you are talking about though. I would not have noticed if you didn’t point it out though.

bridetobe19x :  there should be a seam right under your arm where the front and back panels of the dress meet.

bridetobe19x :  Remember it is comfortable now… but think about when you are sweating and warm in. If you think it will rub then I would probably get it adjusted a little bit.

The right side of the picture it is barely noticeable but I do see where you mean. (I assume that is your left hand and you were using your right hand to take the photo?) I am not sure if this is caused by it being too snug though.  If it were me, the next time I was wearing it I would have someone come with me and take a video. Just to see what it looks like while walking (towards them) and away. Just to see how the dress moves and looks. Hold your hands out as if you were holding your fiances hands while facing him and take a video from the side. It might not be as noticeable when you are moving normally as opposed to when you are taking a picture.
