A couple month’s ago I was head to the outlets where there is this speciality store Darling Husband likes to shop. He’s been wanting a backpack and it was the first thing on his Christmas list (that I created). Like a GOOF, I told him I was going to the store and if he wanted me to look for the backpack. Well, LONG story short, they had it, he wanted it, and I gave it to him (we both said it was an early Christmas present).
Well, now that Christmas is here, I think it stinks he won’t have anything under the tree! So, I’m trying to figure out what else to get him.
The other things I jotted down for him were: a Go Pro, cowboy boots (he’s mildly obsessed), kitchen knife(s).
My biggest “SHOULD I BUY IT” is the go pro. He recently purchased a road bicycle but doesn’t ride it very often. He’s been talking about having a Go Pro for ages – but, I feel like if I get it – he won’t use it often and he’ll have trouble figuring it out (it’s not plug/play and he is not a techie).
Cowboy Boots – I already tried buying one pair and had to return them because they didn’t fit. I’m kind of giving up on these because they are so particular to his feet and I feel like any purchase will just mean another return (it’s all online, because the stores in our area don’t have the style/cut he’s looking for)
Kitchen Knive – done! I got him one more knive for our nice kitchen collection – but it’s not really a surprise because we were at William Sonoma and I asked him “hey, what do you think about this knife” and he liked it and I asked him if he wanted it for Christmas (I need to learn to keep my trap shut!!)
I also got him this bike computer thing… so he’ll have at least two things to open – but I don’t feel like they have the wow factor the Go Pro would give him.
So…. what say you. Is what he has enough (the backpack bought prior and the 2 gifts)…. or should I go for the splurge?! I feel like if we were dating, I would be lavishly pouring gifts on him but now I see it as money out of our joint budget (if that makes any sense!) and I’m feeling like miserly about it.
HELP!!!!!
