I think I know what type of dress I want – basically a big tulle skirt at the bottom but I can’t decide if I want crystals or embroidery. I also want the shape of the dress to be more like these are and be a-line rather than ballgown. These are my two favourite so far the maggie sottero primavera or the ronald joyce loes which I would have without the strap. Do you know of any other dresses that are similar to these?
Just realised the primavera pic won’t work so here is the link http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?keywordText=primavera&line=m&keywordType=any&page=0&pageSize=15&style=A3477
Also which do you prefer out of these two and why?

Have you tried this style on yet?! It would help to see the style on you!
In my personal opinon I think very few people can pull off a very large skirt like that, but then again if you want it and it fits your personality thats all that matters!
I only say this because I was totally in love with Rachel or Rachael by Maggie Sottero and balled my eyes out when the style looked HORRIBLE on me! Just keep open minded! Things look TOTALLY different on and in person!

I love the Primavera; however, I know it would not look good on my body type. Do you have any pictures of you in this style? And/or have you tried this style on and know that it looks good on your figure type. There were a lot of gowns that I loved, but were not figure flattering on me, so I suggest that you try on a few styles, if you haven’t before ordering and/or purchasing a gown, so you won’t be disappointed when you get it.

Hi yeah i’ve tried on the loes and many dresses in this style. Here are a few pics of similar style dresses on me. Thanks for your comments 🙂 I was really worried before i tried the style on that it would not suit me but I think it looks ok.

I’m a Maggie bride so I may be biased, but I vote for the primavera. I love the scallop design at the bottom of the dress.

I love the Primavera, mainly because of all that lace work on the skirt. I tried on a few DB dresses with plain tulle skirts and didn’t like them too much. Hope this helps and good luck! 🙂 Btw, I LOVE tulle skirts, but they just don’t look good on me. I settled for an A-line lace and satin gown finally.
EDIT : Just saw your pics and this style looks gorgeous on you 🙂

@wedding_2011 I think it looks great on you! You are very petite!

ooooh the primavera is VERY similar to my dress: Enzoani Darwin. I’m replacing the beading with a straight beading at the waist instead. I love the big poofy tulle. it makes me feel like a bride and very elegant. I love both of the ones you’ve posted.

I have a brand new, still in bag, no alterations, tags on, tried on once only, Maggie Sottero Primavera for sale. The gown is absolutely gorgeous. It is a size 12 which means it will fit a bride from a 10 to a 14 because of the lace up back. It is hanging from the ceiling in my spare room so as not to crush the bodice. I paid full price and then decided to change colors as the wedding changed seasons. If anyone is interested please let me know. I will be listing on ebay and craigslist as soon as i can get some pictures of the actual dress uploaded.
