Some manufacturers let you combine pieces of different dresses. I think Casablanca is one of them. If you find what you’re looking for in two different Casablanca dresses, you might be able to not have to go the replica/Etsy route.

@futuremrsk18:  I’m actually not sure whether or not it exists. I look hideous in mermaid/trumpet, and even dropped waist styles, so I usually just glance at these when I’m looking at magazines and things and don’t give them too much attention. Hopefully someone who has been looking for a more dropped-waist dress has seen something like what you’re describing, but I wanted to let you know about this option in case it doesn’t exist. I personally would rather deal with an established company to customize a dress, because it feels like every time a person orders a replica or off Etsy, it’s a roll of the dice.

As long as you’re not too pear-shaped or very short, I think this dress you’re envisioning would look awesome on you. (And even if you are, I think if you chose one with good ruching and ruffles close to the body, I think it could still look good.)

As far as the design itself, I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t look good together. I will keep my eye out for something that looks like this.

I fell in love with my dress because it was the first one I found with a lace top & a layered organza bottom.  I’m not sure if it’s the type of layers you want, but it’s got both elements.  I am also adding another similary one.  I’d check out Blue by Enzoani & see if you like any of them.  Also, just keep trying.  It took me a while & I was obsessed with looking but I finally found it! Abd I had to see it in person to really know.  These pictures do not do the dresses any justice.  Also, here’s a link to the website incase you like them.  These pictures came out really small!! http://enzoani.com/new/blue2012.html

@futuremrsk18:How funny, I’m 4’11 & curvy so I can relate!!  Enzoani was also the first poofy dress that didn’t make me look like I was 3 feet tall so even if you don’t specifically end up with those styles, I’d at least try one on to get an idea of what works.  I felt like I was really picky too, but just happened to walk in to a place – I hadn’t even made an appointment!  And there it was.  I would say just go and try a bunch of things on, even if you don’t think it’s what you want.  I definitely liked the opposite of what I expected!  Good luck 😉

I also agree with the person who posted earlier that some designers will customize & do the top of one with the bottom of another.

Have you seen this one by Angelina Facenda for Mori Lee?  It’s not really lace on top but almost has the look of it with the beading.

@futuremrsk18:  Glad to help!  And you’re right, I bought a Mori Lee that looks TERRIBLE online but is absolutely amazing in person.  The beadwork on them is awesome.

Have you looked at the Allure 8966 dress?
