Hey lovely ladies!
Yesterday I bought my Manuel Mota Carpatos, and I’m absolutely in love with the crystal-embellished sashes that I tried on with it, similar to the one on the model. However, the ones in the bridal salon were around $800, and that is NOT gonna fly.
Any ideas for finding similar ribbon belts or sashes? OR crystal brooches I could affix to a ribbon sash myself? I looked on Etsy and didn’t find anything quite as lovely or vintage-looking.

Could you show the design to someone on etsy and have them custom make something for you?

I’ve been in love with this Selia Yang dress belt for a while. It looks like she uses it on a couple of her dresses. I think it would be really pretty on your dress. Not sure how much it costs, but she has locations in NYC.

Is “white aisle” on etsy, because I’ve seen those exact pictures before for one of their belts

That Selia Yang might go with my dress though! I am having the same issue for my pronovias. The one I tried on i liked was about $400 and that’s just ridiculous….

Wanted to chime in b/c I have a Selia Yang dress that is very similar to yours. It’s simple, clean lines with a sash that gives it a ‘wow’ factor. She has a ton of belts (I was visiting my dress on Saturday and i tried on about 8 sashes including that one b/c i was second guessing my original choice). I think in her Tribeca location, the belts run upwards of $600 and the one pictured above is way more unfortunately. I think it may be close to $1000. Selia does have a sample store location in the east village where they carry some of the belts. Not sure how much they go for there. Her belts are all amazing and have a modern elegant flare to them. Anyway, i hope this info helps you!
oh, and there is a lazaro belt that i drool over. less unique than Selia but gorgeous…

Hi Kirsten – You have some wonderful things….
On a side note, the give away you’re hosting on your blog, you ask for people to post a comment with their email address that everyone else can then see…. You’re not going to get a lot of people who are OK with doing that, and it then leaves your customers wide open as a target. Perhaps come up with a better way of collecting the entries?
I know on a wordpress based blog you can ask for email’s on the comment but they aren’t available to the public or published…
