I just bought my dress, Enzoani Charleston. Yay! Despite it having quite the extensive train, my heart is set on a cathedral length veil, but I’m clueless beyond that. I haven’t though much about veils beyond length. Beading, lace, petals, what will work with my dress?
For example, will the Uma veil work my dress?

I don’t have any pictures of myself in the dress but here’s what it looks like.

My instinct is that the Uma veil is going to be much too busy for your dress, which is GORGEOUS By The Way. I would go with a raw edge cathedral veil if you’re really dying for that, though I’m tempted to suggest an elbow length for you…

Alas, that’s what I feared about the Uma veil. Sigh. 🙂

Normally I’m all for cathedral veils (and I actually make flowered veils similar to the Uma veil that I sell on Etsy), but I’m going to have to agree that the Uma veil would be too busy with your dress. I’m not even sure about a plain cathedral veil because I feel like the tulle overlay almost looks like a veil by itself, so I’m not sure that you’d even get the effect of a cathedral veil. I feel like you wouldn’t even notice it with all the other sheer tulle layers. I agree with
@pengoala: that an elbow length or shoulder length veil would be best if you want a regular veil, but actually I think that a birdcage veil with a lace or flower detail would be gorgeous.
If you’re really set on a cathedral veil, could you go back and try on your dress with a cathedral veil and perhaps a few other lengths of veils and take pictures? I did this when I was looking for a veil and it really helped a lot.

I agree, your train looks like a cathedral length veil, so if you go for a fingertip or elbow length veil I think that you will get the look you want without covering up the beautiful train.
Something like http://www.etsy.com/listing/67792824/stunning-bridal-veil would look nice since it has some embellishment that looks similar to the dress but not too much.(I have no idea why the model is topless however.) You could also go with a very simple veil since the dress is embellished.
