It can be anywhere as we’re figuring that it will end up being a destination wedding anyhow. We’re looking for something extra special, elegant and intimate. We’d like the ceremony & reception to be held in the same location and the grounds/venue are the most important detail to us. We absolutely LOVE Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto, but it’s ending up that we’ll have a very small wedding of about 25 people and need something that feels more intimate for a smaller group. We also love the idea of a winery wedding, but not sure what to look at at this point. I know that there are a lot of wineries around that offer wedding packages, but 9 out of 10 of them are "cheesy." Does anyone have any suggestions? My fiance is getting very impatient with me as were approaching our third year of engagement with no plans yet. Please help!!!!!

what is your budget like for the venue? Are you wanting something with honeymoon included? Are you wanting something in the us? prefer indoor or outdoor or open to both?

Same questions as CountryCowgirl- is this US or Canada?

If I were you, I would do it in a villa – a huuugge mansion, right on the ocean!!!

We haven’t determined the budget yet. but like I mentioned, the venue is the most important detail and what we’re figuring will be a big portion of the budget. We’re from the U.S. but it can be ANYWHERE. I just seem to be drawn to places in Canada. We’re not looking for it to include the honeymoon….that can be something totally different. We’re looking for something outdoors for both ceremony & reception, weather permitting of course. Thanks for your input!

I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but at least it’s in Canada. http://www.crmr.com/weddings-emerald.php I LOVE IT. If that doesn’t work go here: http://www.crmr.com/meetings-retreats-emerald.php and click on weddings on the bottom bar by where it says Emerald Lake Lodge.

If you’re thinking a winery wedding think outside the Napa/Sonoma and Santa Barbara boxes. Paso Robles has some beautiful wineries. In fact every state has a winery. If you like Canada, what about Idaho? I think they have some wineries in the Twin Falls area. Just a thought.
