Personally, a gap between the rings would drive me crazy and it looks like your ring doesn’t sit high enough for a band it fit in underneath it which is what all my friends with halo engagement rings have done.

Out of your options, I would go with option one because I always wear my engagement ring anyway so the fact that I couldn’t wear the wedding band without it wouldn’t bother me. I think it just depends on what you prefer, there is not right or wrong answer.

Another option would be to skip a wedding band altogether. I have a friend who just wears her engagement ring as her wedding ring. I honestly, never even noticed until she mentioned it to me.

A deep chevron would work!

You could still buy a straight everyday band for your messy days. I’m a big fan of those. Most all of my friends have one.

I went for your third option, though I haven’t committed to a straight band yet 😛

amandagray27:  If I were you I’d go with option 3. A small gap wouldn’t drive me crazy, but it looks like a straight band with no cutout would lead to a huge gap, which wouldn’t be aesthetically appealing. OTOH, it’s always good to have the option of wearing an eternity ring on its own once you get married. So…get both.

amandagray27:  absolutely, go for it! Yes, custom made by a small and independent jeweller in London. I have 12 2mm round diamonds in the band (half eternity) which is 18ct white gold. I’m so pleased I went down that route, because my gap would have been very substantial and I personally don’t like gaps.

amandagray27:  definitely option three. For a band with your beautiful ring. You can always get a cheap second hand plain band latter for when your doing things that will damage your set

amandagray27:  that’s what I called it. I took a picture I found online to the jewellers and explained how I wanted it to frame my ring, and they understood straight away 🙂
