Lisa Marie Boutique in Marshfield has done a great job with my past bridesmaid dress alterations, they are reasonably priced as well.

Best Fit at Newbury Street. Just checked out the yelp reviews..I left one there recently.

Let’s put it this way..my gown is super complicated..it needed three bustles and they could fit it.

I second Best Fit. They’ve done a fantastic job with several bridesmaid dresses I have taken there.

You may want to try Chris O’Hare in Quincy. She gets really great recommendations on other wedding sites.  She is going to do my alterations (part of which is turning mine into a sweetheart neckline too) and is very reasonably priced.  Her phone number is 617-471-7369.

I second Chris O’Hare! She did my alterations for my dress and it was so, so much cheaper than anyone else (by about 50-60%), and she did an incredible job. She works out of her house and her set-up is a bit dis-organized, but she’s super easy to work with, great at what she does, and really, really, affordable.

I used Chris O’Hare too– like leebaby said, her set up really is a mess, but she did a great job on my alterations. Just, really, be prepared, the work room is sort of shocking (better be shocked now than when you get there!)

Just keep in mind she doesn’t do the final pressing, at least she didn’t when I went a year and a half ago. Worked for me since i need to travel, but know you will need to take it somewhere else to be pressed, which can be $100-150.

Faye Carraher in Billerica! She is AWESOME. Look up reviews, she has nothing but goodness said about her.

Her email is [email protected]

she also has two really fat adorable cats!!

Her prices are very fair too – cheap compared to bridal shops.

@girlfromwollaston:  I just discovered this post! I saw you are a June bride too! I just picked up my dress, and am thinking alterations-have you gone to Chris yet? I live in the area so she is super close to me!

@HeLovesDogs:  Sorry I just saw this! Yes, I dropped my dress off with Chris last month. I am meeting her again in April for my second fitting. She is really sweet and SO inexpensive. Seriously inexpensive.  Her space is a bit of a mess (read: chaotic with lots of dresses), but I think she’ll do a great job!

@girlfromwollaston:  that’s okay! thanks for the update I am going to check her out! I need alterations but I don’t want to pay a fortune since I am only taking the dress in around the hips and tummy area and want cups sewn in.
