Hi bees. My house was broken into yesterday and one of the things they made off with was my grandmother’s wedding ring, which she’d had made out of her mother’s and her husband’s aunt’s rings 🙁
I had JUST finished having it appraised, so I will be able to use that to prove the value to my insurance. Unfortunately do not have a picture to give to the police. I was hoping you guys might be able to help me crowdsource a few pictures so I can find something similar to show them. I’m really upset and my brain is not working the best, so I’m having trouble figure out what to google.
It has two round diamonds with 1ctw, with one being 50% larger than the other, so I think they are about 1/3ct and 2/3ct.
It was made to fit with her existing engagement ring, so it has a dip like those wrap around ring enhancers, but it is not as pronounced. It doesn’t wrap around, it just curves out so it doesn’t crowd the other ring.
On the dip, and underlining the diamonds, there is a line of four or five really tiny rubies (which my grandfather chipped out of local rocks by hand and cut and polished himself for her – argh!!! SO MAD)
I know that’s really specific, but I just need to find a picture that is close enough. Two stone, yellow gold, little line of rubies. Any help would be SO appreciated!
