It sounds like DIY might be the best route because of the specific details that you want. That way you can get them exactly to your preferences, and also get higher quality paper for a lower price.

This is the company I’m getting my pocketfolds from.  They do tons of different paper and card options, and you can request a sample pack from them with everything in it.  My experience with their customer service department has been fantastic.  I think they also offer printing, but I could be wrong and they may be able to recommend somewhere if not.  They’re UK based but it would definitely be worth contacting them to see if they offer services in the US.

We simply assembled our own pocketfold invitations.  We printed our own, but we could have just as easily brought the PDF and the paper to a professional printer and had them do it.  We even made the pocketfolds themselves.  I think ours look kind of similar to what your Fiance likes.

@asscherlover:  We bought the pre-cut white cards, the purple paper for the envelope liners, and the envelopes from Paper Source.  The black sparkly paper came from Joann’s.
