I have a dilemma. I have fallen in love with hanging votive holders, and mini hanging flower vases. HOWEVER, me venue won’t let me use any tacks, nails or anything to decorate – it’s a historical house. I would love to hang these over the railing on the back porch.
These are the hanging baubles I want to use:[attachment=603324,78714] [attachment=603324,78716] [attachment=603324,78715]
Is it possible to hang these?

What about using those Scotch brand hooks? They advertise them around Christmas time. They have a sticky back and apparently don’t leave anything behind when you take them down. I’m not sure about using them on a ceiling, but that’s something to think about.

Could you use clear fishing wire? Maybe I’m looking at the wrong part of the picture?

@buttons Yes, I’d use clear fishing wire, but my question is how would you affix the line to the ceiling?

This is the text from our contract:
“The use of tacks, nails, any kind of tape, staples and/or any other materials which may permanently damage this historic house are prohibited.”
I think this means no removable hook things?

It looks like there are wooden beams coming out from the top of the porch. Maybe you could loop the fishing wire or whatever around that. It wouldn’t be directly over the railing, but it’d probably be close enough.

The fishing line is your best bet.
