Cooking.  I went back to school and really have little time to obsess, but in between I had NOTHING to do.  So I taught myself to cook, and then I taught myself to cook some ridiculously healthy things… and then taught myself to cook these healthy things for my unsuspecting boyfriend, who gets 6 servings of veggies and lean protein in every meal without even knowing it… muah ha ha ha.

I’m there with ya!  i know how you feel, and it is hard not to think about it every second of the day.  I haven’t checked his account or anything, partly bc i dont have access to it, but also bc I want to be surprised, but to each her own! πŸ™‚

I stay busy running several times per week, catching up with friends, I started doing some volunteering and side work, and I tried out and made a dance/cheer squad, which takes up a good chunk of my time!! Just stay constantly busy and try to be happy around your man.  I know that can be hard–sometimes I get pissy around him for no reason other than me being upset that he hasnt done it yet, but I have to keep telling myself, “why would he want to be engaged and married to someone who is a b***h around him all the time?!” so find something that you love to keep you busy and it will at least soothe some of the waiting–i know it’s not going to solve the issue but it will at least get you through it. Good luck! πŸ™‚

What I’ve been doing is trying to get back into doing all the things I did before I met my guy.

For example, I used to be really into blogging and web design. I used to write songs, play more guitar, etc. It wasn’t just meeting my guy that put these things on the backburner, at times I got bored with it, and work would get in the way as well.

But now, I’m really considering bringing these things back into my life. I’ve also found coming on here helpful, plus any sort of writing or reading you can do… I find that can be a big help as well.

Watch some of your favorite girly movies, look at interesting things online, talk with your friends more, go for walks/gym… that’s all I can think of for now.

We can help you out! I’ll try and think of more. πŸ˜‰

Hi WonderWoman!  It’s hard to find things to occupy our time since our town isn’t always that exciting, lol, but I’ve been looking forward to high school football games, outdoor movies at the Columbia Co. amphitheatre, BorderBash, Arts in the Heart of Augusta.  Maybe go down to the RiverWalk and just try to relax when the stress gets too high.

I’ve thought about volunteering at some local food banks, joining my son’s PTO, and joining a local Mommy’s Club.  I don’t have many girlfriends here, they’re mosty in Atanta, but if you ever want to go window shopping (or stare at dresses & rings, lol), let me know!  The obsession will weaken soon, I’m sure, lol.  Take care!

@MissBuffalo: Ahhh! Don’t do that! It’s like a gateway drug… once you look into browser history, you’ll snoop around elsewhere! And that is a HUGE no-no in my opinion…

Ohh I hear ya! I go through phases where I am calm and collected and others where I am obsessed with it! I try not to look at the browser history if I can! hehe

I cook… I have a food blog and am constantly trying to challenge myself to make harder and harder things and I also go to the gym a fair bit to keep myself occupied and my stress under control. And like MsmamaBear says – the gym has benefits for the future wedding too!

Ooooooh, a trip to Atlanta for shopping & making new friends would be awesome!  I want to go to the outlet malls up in Commerce, too!  Are those the closest ones?

Small world, huh? Wink  We should start our own Augusta section in the Georgia group!  I have no idea how to do that though, lol….
