First of all, I tried the google images search and it did not pull up any dress even remotely similar.
The bridal shop says it is a Casablanca, but I have looked at the Casablanca website and looked at every dress since 2003, and the couture collection, and I cannot find this dress.

Have you found any that are similar? I have found that Casablanca’s models make the dresses look VERY different from the real things…

peachacid -I havn’t seen anything similar from Casablanca. Allure has a dress that is similar, that I think I am going to buy- Allure 8916.
The dress shop said that even with a rush the dress wouldn’t get here until early February. My wedding is Feb 23. That is too close. Plus I wanted the neckline turned into a true sweetheart, which Casablanca will normally do, however I was told there isn’t enough time.
This whole ordering a dress 6 months ahead of time is ridiculous. I may just cut the middle an out and order straight from China.

Why won’t they tell you what the dress is?? That’s crazy.

@MrsPeachMartini: She said it is store policy. I guess it is so I can’t gofind it somewhere else cheaper. It is a horrible policy. Even when I was ready to commit to buying the dress (before I knew about the delay in getting it) she would not tell me the #. I honestly don’t think it is even a Casablanca.

Honestly I don’t think it’s Casablanca. They have a particular style with their beading that I can’t see heRe. I would call the store and say your not interested in doing business with people who conduct themselves such a way. Maybe they will change their tune.

I tried to look it up on google images but I couldn’t find it. The next time you go to the salon look at the number on the tag and look up that number when you get home. Hope you figure it out!

@misssara: Honestly, I would go to a few other shops that sell that designer and just ask them if they have that dress or a similar one, you could even explain the situation and say you don’t feel comfortable buying a dress from a salon that refuses to tell you anything about the dress.

UGH… One of the bridal shops I went to had the same stupid policy… PLUS the second stupid policy of “ABSOLUTELY NO PHOTOS!!!”…
I snuck a photo of it hanging on the hanger, and brought it to another bridal shop. I explained everything to the woman there, and she actually spent her time going through all her bridal catalogs and even looked online for me. Eventually, after much searching, we found it, and I bought it from HER because she was honest, helpful, and kind. AND I wrote the first shop a long letter about how their poor policies lost them my (and my bridesmaids’) business.
SO my suggestion to you…. bring these photos to another bridal salon and ask them if they have an idea!! Bridal salon employees spend every day with bridal gowns and wind up knowing them pretty well. Someone at a (decent!) shop might be able to help you. 🙂
