Yes, beige, white and grey will look totally fine together.

I would 100% paint the vanity. You alredy have a beige toilet and sink, which are dated. But by updating the vanity, it will help take away from those dated items and really freshen it up. It’s hard to say if you should go white or dark without seeing the actual space, but remeber if you want to stain it, you have to sand it down to get all the lacquer off and the process is much longer than just painting it white or a dark brown color for example.

I agree with PP paint the vanity! The beige is neutral enough that it should disappear, but try and choose a warm grey. Maybe paint the vanity white (warm shade of white) and change out the handles. Sounds like a good plan otherwise. 🙂

Definitely paint the vanity! I painted the vanity in our small rental bathroom and it made a WORLD of difference. Upgrade the hardware, too – that can really transform a space. Anthropologie has the most adorable knobs and pulls – and because you’ll only need a couple, it won’t break the bank.

I think a white vanity with a beige top would look fine, but think about painting it a color! I painted ours a light blue/gray color and it looks great and really brightens up the space.

priyawouldntwannabeya:  leave the door unpainted, I could go either way on the trim. Wood stained trim, especially on the floor doesn’t get dinged up like painted trim. If the trim was the same color as the door I’d leave it, if it’s a different stain color I’d probably paint it. Beige and white are both neutrals so I wouldn’t worry about it clashing.

priyawouldntwannabeya:  go with the grey you really want. Your inspiration pic will totally work with the beige fixtures…and the best thing is, it’s just paint.  Even if you get the wall color up and decide you’ve committed a crime against color you can always paint over it. 🙂

Your bathroom sounds just like mine. I did paint the vanity base white and the walls a blue. I do not like it, actually. I think I am going to paint the walls a light beige and do all white and beige. I will try to get a picture of it. It didnt work for me…..and I am in the same decorating boat as you…I basically suck at it. I did realize that if I do monchromatic color schemes, things work better for me. I am in a small townhouse so that makes a difference. I love looking at color, but am happiest living with little color and few accessories…clean and simple – and monochromatic – work best for my lack of ability 🙂
