They both look great. I think the second ones looks best, but you can’t go wrong with either one!

If you can find a trustworthy tailor to alter the dress in time… you could have a portion of the illusion mesh on the back cut away, so you get that low-v back that you like in this 2nd dress. Also, you could remove a layer or two of flounce under the lower half of the skirt and tack it down tighter to curve your butt more and give that mermaid? trumpet? look of the second. Aside from those differences, they aren’t different enough that purchasing a second will really make a difference and the dress you bought already really is lovely!

I like your current dress better. I also feel like the new one looks cheap.

They look almost identical to me. I certainly wouldn’t spend money to buy the exact dress over again.

I like your dress better. But if you REALLY want it, I suppose you could change for the reception.

I prefer the second dress but the first dress is VERY pretty as well. Make sure you can have the second in time and can return/cancel the first before you get your heart set.

The first dress is prettier and has more to it. The second dress isn’t special, but if you HAVE TO HAVE IT just get it. It’s $400.

I like the idea of wearing the second one at the reception. I love your current dress! I wouldn’t trade it out for the new one, but I respect the need to pee!

brittnamrogo :  your original dress is more flattering. Fwiw, I had a fitted dress will all buttons and had the same pee concern. I had my moh undo the whole dress once before the ceremony, but that’s it. I have a TINY bladder but didn’t have to pee until mid-reception. By that time, my dress (which was very fitted under my butt/thighs and I couldn’t even sit in pre-ceremony) has stretched enough with the heat and humidity that I actually could shimmy it up over my hips to pee by myself.

brittnamrogo :  The second one is pretty, but your original dress is gorgeous!! Try the peeing trick a PP mentioned. Hopefully that will help with that issue haha!

brittnamrogo :  I really love the bottom of the second dress, and the back view is great! I’m not totally in love with the sleeves on the second dress but overall i think it looks awesome on you and is really flattering your figure. I voted #2!!

Dress choice is such a personal thing isn’t it? I can feel the enthusiasm you have for your new found dress. It’s important that you feel WONDERFUL when you slip your dress on on your weding day.

But you are asking for opinions here so I’d have to say that my view is that the first dress is vastly superior to the second. It looks much classier and has spades more “wow” factor. The neckline (the bit you don’tlike) actually suits you far better. The price difference between them does not surprise me. The first one look sbetter made in better quality matierials.

Anyway that’s my opinion but my view comes minus the feelings invovled and I think your feelings should guide you here.

The second one is pretty and you look amazing. However I went “woah” with the first dress, I love the back it just has that wow factor like everyone else stated.

I prefer the first dress but then again not being able to pee unassisted would be a deal-breaker for me.

I’d get a reception dress for that factor alone (though admittedly I’d go even further and get something even more reception-friendly, like a shorter dress).
