I like the original. It looks classy and has nicer proportions – it’s like the new one is too narrow through the bottom half? Do you think you just like the new one because it is more skin tight to show off your figure? Has your original been altered to take your weight loss into account?

I think the first one is better but you clearly love the second one. So get it. They are so similar that wearing both isn’t a great option.

The first dress is gorgeous and while the second one has a similar cut and feel to it, it isn’t as well executed. That swiss dot tulle is ghastly and you can see the underskirt/slip thingy right through it. I know you love it but I agree with a PP – you probably love the weight loss. You LOOK awesome in it but that’s your banging figure – not the dress. As for wearing them both, they’re way too similar.

I think your first dress is gorgeous! The 2nd dress is very tight at your knees and has the effect of broadening your shoulders making your proportions seem unbalanced. It also looks like its a thinner material that’s stretching across your hips and non existent stomach and causing creases. I vote stick with your current dress for the ceremony but keep looking for a different dress for the reception.

I think the one you already have looks much better. I wouldn’t get the new one, but ultimately it’s up to you, as long as you’re happy that’s what matters.

I actually voted the 2nd dress, however after further thought it was abit of an unfair comparison as the first dress looks pre weight loss and pre alterations. Are you able to post a recent photo of your first dress?

Hi all! Thank you so much for all the feedback, there are so many people to reply to that I’ll just put one big reply here!
I think as some PP’s have said, that I may be more in love with my weight loss than the actual dress. It is a cheaper dress of course, but it’s much lighter and easier to undo which was part of the appeal. I also like the neckline better as I have a very small chest and I feel as though my current dress, due to the “v neck” style does not flatter me and gives me a very boyish shape. I also think that it’s hard because I was comparing it to photos of myself before I lost a little bit of weight. I have one more “good to go” fitting on Wednesday so hopefully I can post some photos of me in my current dress post weight loss. Wish me luck!

Would you buy the second dress if it were $2400?

I really love the new one! I think the neckline is more suited to you, but the original has great qualities, but if you wanted to save a little.. I can’t even believe the second was 400… what brand is it?
Goodness that’d be a tough choice but I think the second does more for your (good) shape 🙂
