Darling Husband and I are picking up a pug puppy in about 2 weeks and I’ve come up with some ideas but I have been struggling to decide on a name! I know sometimes a name just comes to you but I thought it would be fun to get your opinions!
We already have a female, black lab-great dane, named Letty. She is 5 and was named after The Fast and Furious character 🙂
The new puppy is a pug, and also female!

Ive always wanted a pug and if i had one i would name him Potato 😂 I like to name animals after food.
But out of all of the names up there I like Willow.

Oh the dear little puglet , so pretty! I would call her Harriet and then she could be Hattie on occasion, to go with Letty. Or Henrietta so she could also be called Hetty .

Awww, congrats! New puppy pics/post is just the medicine I need right now after the day I had. I like Willow a lot, Luna second. She is adorable!

Poppy is so cute! I also love the way Letty & Poppy sound together.

She looks like a Penny to me 😊
But of the choices you listed—Poppy!

Poppy – me three of the choices you listed, but I also love elderbee : ‘s suggestion of Hetty. that might be too close to Lettie, so Hattie is my next fav.
Grid makes a good case for Penny too- she does look like a Penny!

Aww she’s adorable! I voted Poppy ☺️ I could also see her being a Phoebe, Molly or Sadie!

I picked Poppy, but I also think Penny would be a good name for this little cutie!

I was going to say I think Luna is better suited for a kitty’s name- but after seeing pics of your cute little pug, she could definitely be a Luna.
I also agree with stephanie091512 : that Letty and Poppy sound good together.
Also liking other suggestions of Penny and Molly.
So I think the answer to this is perfectly clear- you’re going to need to get more pugs if you lived close to me, I’d happily dog-sit for you and you wouldn’t even have to pay me! Who wouldn’t want to borrow a basket of pug puppies for an afternoon or evening?!?!
ETA and of course your Lab would be welcome too!!!

Omg I agree with @GridMonster & @BalletParker, she’s a penny! And I am obsessed with her. I have two puggles named Jaxon and Lexi! I like the name Lexi for a dog too and I don’t know why.

When I saw the names I sort of expected a different kind of dog. Then I scrolled down and saw her silly shmushy face and totally thought Edna. Lol! I love shmushy wrinkly dogs. But of your choices I picked Poppy. Super cute!!

What’s funny is that I’ve had both a Poppy and a Luna. Luna I got as a puppy and she lived a long time for her breed before passing last July. I adopted Poppy from a shelter I think her original name was Betsy. A lot of people thought she was a boy and I was callingher ‘papi’ or dad in Spanish (I live in a very Hispanic area). Anyway, both were great names for a dog. Unfortunately Poppy ran away when my parents were petsitting her 🙁 I think both were great names lol. Congrats on the new family member!
