shadows9x :  He looks like a Snowball to me, but I saw wait until you’ve met.  Sometimes animals “tell” us their names, as it were.  He’s SO cute!

    shadows9x :  I have always liked the name Flynn for a dog…

I think when I was trying to come up with a name for our dog I ended up imagining what it would sound like to call them. For some reason a 2 syllable name always seemed more pleasing.

As a rule, I start with color. Then add the language spoken in the country of origin. So, in your case I would try to think of something white and then whatever the German counterpart would be.

    Cloud – Wolke

    I like Aspen, too.

He is adorable!! I think you should wait until you meet him. A lot of times the right name just becomes obvious 🙂

shadows9x :  omg.  He’s ridiculous & I want to squeeze him so bad.  I agree on waiting to name him until you bring him home. But ideas are fun in the meantime.  Out of the list I like Raffael (Raffy for short).  Curious how big is medium, roughly?  Congrats, how exciting!

    Other names just for fun-

    Charlie

    Diego

    Danzig

    Romeo

    Larry

Might I suggest Fritz? It’s a German nickname for Frederick and he’d be Fritz the Spitz.

It’s the name of Clara’s little brother in The Nutcracker, so I’ve always associated it with being very playful, energetic, and youthful.

Although now that I’m thinking about the origin of the name, I think he could do well as a Fred or Freddy if you wanted something that sounds a little more everyday.
