Honey, if you work those hours you are going to be SO burt out. Don’t do that to yourself no matter how tight money is. You have a family that you need to spend time with it seems, and they are important.

I actually side with the idea that your husband should work those 15 hours a week. I do think that him finding a more permanent job with more hours and pay would be best, but even if you have to pay care for 3 hours a day, I think that will work out better for you guys in the long run. I worry about your stress level and health if you work 15+ hours a day.

You can’t find cheaper child care? You need to spend time with your family and I’m sure your husband wants to get out of the house.  It may also help your son to spend time with other people. $100 seems really high for 9 hours and I’m saying that as a full time nanny during the summer.  I usually charge $10 an hour and thats only because I’m with the children an extended period of time and take them places using my car and I usually watch 2.  Right now I am only taking care of one child and don’t take him anywhere so my fee is closer to $5 hour which is average in my area.  You really should be able to find cheaper child care.  But even if you can’t I really don’t think you should take on a second job.
