Beautiful ring! Is it 1.5 total weight or 1.5 for the center stone? Either way, I would be happy if I were her. lol

YOu asked if it would look big on her hand….it will look large.  What does she do for a living???  Does it have a high setting, and could she still wear it at work?????  Has she given you the impression that she wants a large diamond…if so, I say go for it!

It is really beautiful.

I don’t think it would look too big. You just have to think, does she normally wear jewelry that is understated? The is pretty blingy (and I mean that in a good way!). In other words, it isn’t a simple ring and it will definitely get noticed.

Best of luck!

Hmm. I think it is beautiful, personally. I have size 4 fingers and my ring is quite a different style, and smaller, but that is just my (and fiance’s) taste. In my opinion, if you chose it, and it is the one you love for her then go for it. What kind of jewellery does she usually wear? Large and chunky? delicate? blingy?

That sounds like a really big ring for a slender finger…   Of course my childhood ring size was about a 6!  I think that ring would look big on my fingers now… so while I think it is absolutely lovely, I think you should be thinking about if she’s a big size jewelry person.  Does she love wearing rings and jewelry or does she wear very little? I wear rings and jewelry everyday, and that seems big to me.  If I were you, I’d look for the best quality diamond you can buy… it might be smaller, but a great diamond will sparkle and shine like you wouldn’t believe. (A better diamond does make a difference.  With her ring size, a large diamond may be very uncomfortable to wear on a regular basis, so you want to pick a ring that she will feel comfortable in everyday.  If I were you, I would ask the ladies at the jewelry shop to try on the ring and let you know what size they were wearing as well.

@solaneoh: Agree, it will get noticed….but some girls really like that!  😉  Let us know what she thinks of it.  When are you gonna propose?   Exciting!

the answer to your question depends on her style. My ring finger is a size 8 and i would think this would be too big on my finger, but I am a plain jane 🙂

It is soo pretty though! if you are not sure, maybe you could some how hint about large diamonds?

Good luck and congrats!

I wear a size 4 ring…and would KILL for a ring that size! I think she’ll love it, especially since its clear you put a lot of thought into it.

I’m a 4.5 size ring, and I love it!  But I think it depends on her style as others have mentioned.
