@Missykate:

Oo! I just got engaged on Sunday (lucky me) and registered here today.  I LOVE my princess cut, and the kite setting makes it a little bit different, which I love.  We shopped together and ended up getting it custom made.  Good luck!!!

@Mrs. Gremmlin:  So pretty!!! There still aren’t too many out there – I had to look and look for ones I liked, and ultimately we went with a jeweler who made it specially for me. Smile

@Missykate:  I really love square cuts too, and before I got engaged, I was kind of a noob.  I had no idea that there are SO many different kinds of squares – so you might want to really look into them before you decide which one is your favorite. there are:

princess cuts with sharp corners – this is the kind you will probably see the most often in jewelry stores.

cut-corner princess (I LOVE these – they look nice because once they’re set in prongs, they still look square, but the corners are less sharp compared to traditional princess cuts)

square radiants (there is a version with the corners cut off with these too)

step cuts – asscher, emerald, etc.

cushion cuts – SO many different kinds of these (old mine, radiant, etc.), and some of them are more square-ish than others

and possibly some others I’m not even thinking of right now!
