It’s definitely #2 for me.  My reaction to the first one was meh and when I scrolled down i was like “wow”.  The second one definitely makes  statement and looks gorgeous on you.  Very few people can pull off a natural waist dress like this but on you it looks wonderful.

You have a great figure so the first one looks great on you but the dress itself is sort of pedestrian at this point.

@Tanyagri5: Honestly, with your figure, I don’t think you could go wrong with either! I think the first one shows off your figure nicely, but the dress is a little blah… the second one is really pretty and makes your wasit look tiny! Are those your final choices or are you just trying to figure out which style? Maybe you can try a dropped waist or modified A-line or fit and flare that kinda combines both of the styles.. that way you could still show off your figure and have a little bit of poof and drama at the bottom!

My dress is the Mori Lee 1601! I love it! It actually just came in and I go to try it on  tomorrow. And it’s not considered an empire waist, just a regular waist. Empire waists starts right below your chest.

But as far as which one, I’m loving the mermaid on you. You look gorgeous in both but the first one looks amazing! You have the body for it!

I like the empire shape, but I don’t like that exact dress.

Based on these dresses I’d say empire… but I think if it were a different mermaid I would change my opinion. You obviously have a gorgeous body, but the amount of rouching in that mermaid dress isn’t very flattering. Maybe it’s because of the sample size? Either way I wouldn’t base the decision on dress-style with that particular one.

The second dress is a natural waist, empire would start right under your boobs. I prefer the second dress, I’m just not sure about those flowers on the skirt. It kinda looks like someone decided to hot glue them on at the last second.

I like the empire better.   Mermaid shows off how slim you are, but empire one is wow-ingly (if thats a word) bridal and looks simply amazing on you.

Of these two dresses, I prefer the second one.  Like PP have stated, you have an amazing figure so if its the style of dress you’re wondering about (not just these two specific dresses), then I think you could go either way.  I typically love mermaid/fit and flare style dresses, but I don’t particularly care for this one.

@LGenz: I agree, it is definitely natural waist, empire is much higher.

That being said I love the 2nd dress on you!

OO this is a toughie! It really depends on how you want to look/feel on your wedding day- sexy or more bridal/princessy? You honestly look great in both dresses, both are flattering and look gorgeous on you!

It’s already been said, but the second pic isn’t an empire.  I think the natural waist is gorgeous on you!
