I like the idea of using your maiden name. But before I read your post I also thought Everett James
I love the idea of using your maiden name for his middle, but I feel like when it’s all together Everett Ridgeway is a mouthful. But I do like the sound of it. I voted for James, however because I liked the sound of it all together just a little more. Maybe spend a few days saying “Everett Ridgeway” or “Everett James” or “Everett Adam” each time you think of baby and see what feels more natural to you. And if you absolutely cannot decide you can always give him two middle names. My nephew has four names so that mom and dad could each give him their middle.
My middle name is Rogers, the maiden name of my grandmother. I love this sort of tradition! No one uses my middle name in normal day to day conversation. I use it on formal documents and such. I think Ridgeway is perfect.
Everett is a lovely name – Everett Ridgeway sound the nicest out of all of them. I know you want to honour your Husband but the names don’t flow. I love traditional names and also southern style names – how about something like Everett Arthur or Everett James
I voted before reading as well. I liked Adam as a simple name bit Everett being something less common. I do like the idea and sound of Ridgway though. If you wanted another name, Everett Ridgway James sounds nice I think 🙂
I vote for your maiden name, thats what we’ve done. It was part of the agreement before we got married as I really didnt want to change my last name.
I have an Everett Jack, with Jack being my grandfathers middle name. I don’t hink you can go wrong with any of those middle names, they all sound lovely!
I like Everett for the same reasons you listed, although not common it is a “real”, old fashioned name. It is never mispronounced and rarely misspelled. Congrats!
