Im torn between a 1.25 and 1.5 ft center stone for my 3-stone ring. The sides will each be 4mm. I really want the center to “pop” but I don’t want it to look gaudy.
Here are pics with a 1.25 Ct (white gold) and 1.5 ct (rose gold) cz on my hand. I wear a size 6.5. But I’ve heard moissanite looks larger anyway because of the sparkle, so maybe this isn’t a perfect representation?
Please give me your opinions! 🙂 and show your gorgeous 3-stones!!
Heres the dream ring:

If your going to do 3 stone, I’m thinking 1.25. I love the 1.5 as a solitaire but as a 3 stone I feel like you might run out of room on your little finger lol. That’s just what I think from photos but then again if you’re leaning towards bigger I doubt you’ll regret it. Stones always seem to shrink after awhile lol

soph2019 : Beautiful design! I would go smaller, maybe a 1 carat diam equiv sized moissanite. With a simulant, it’s best to go smaller as the larger the moissanite the more obvious that it’s not a diamond. (Although no one is likely to be rude enough to mention it to you or ask you directly.) If others knowing it’s not genuine diamonds doesn’t matter to you, then I would go even larger. Big sparkles! Go big or go home!

Thanks for the replies! I’m definitely going to be open about it being a moissy, so that’s not an issue. Fiance and I both have decent jobs so could conceivably get something similar with a diamond (so I don’t think anyone would say anything rude as to that effect), but we’re going to Europe instead 🙃. I don’t want it to look over the top, as I generally don’t wear flashy things, but I do want my e-ring to stand out from my other pieces!
I haven’t seen a lot in person so I wasn’t sure how much larger a moissy faces up than a cz, since that’s what I have for comparison!
I miiiiight stick with the 7.0 mm/1.25ct. My main concern was it not “popping” out as much from the smaller stones. I don’t want them to blend. The H&A side stones come in 4mm at the smallest, so if I wanted to make them smaller it would have to be a different cut.
Thanks all 🙂

I’d go with the 1.25, it looks very nice on your finger and not too OTT. I have a size 8 finger and am thinking of going 1.25ct eqt moissy for an anniversary in the future. I was going to go larger but like you I’m not a flashy person so the 1.25 makes sense lol

I don’t think k there’s room for a 1.5ct and 8mm of side stone on the top of your finger. I could be wrong but have you measured the top of your finger to see if that would even fit? I have a 1.5 oval and I adore the size but if I’d done a round and three stone I probably would have gone down in size a bit, my finger is also a tad larger than yours. When I’ve compared them in jewelry stores the moissys have faces up the same as diamonds.

SVandy60918 : Good point. I think I will go with 1.25 and might even make the sidestones a little smaller. Thank you! 🙂

SabL22 : Thanks, I think you’re right. I’ve been wearing around a 1.25 solitaire and it feels perfect. Done and done!

I’d go with the 1.25 center stone. It Will pop, but also look balanced
