Definitely Keith Hammock!  He blows the other photogs right out of the running!  🙂

#1 uses a style of editing that will be very dated in about 5-10 years.

You want your wedding pictures to be timeless, and when you look back on them years from now, you want them to show meaningful moments, not desaturated colors that were “trendy” at the time.

#3 does a good job of making things look nice while still maintaining a more natural look and keeping colors close to how they appear in real life.

I’m really torn between 1 & 4, but I voted for 4. They both seem to have a good eye for capturing those moments that last only a second and the personality of the event. I went with 4 only because I like the editing better.

#2’s style is probably my least favorite as it is very heavily “photoshopped” and perhaps it was just the brides, but it’s a bit too sexy for my taste 🙂 I like the pictures to look more classic.

#3 was fine, but nothing special for me.

If you can’t decide, meet with them all (or 1 or 2) and see who best fits your personality. The photographer might be the person you spend the most time with and you’ll want someone who feels like a friend, or at least makes you comfortable enough to be yourself around.

I also like number 1, they seem the most “real”. But they are your pictures, if you have a favorite go with them. You’ll be the one looking at the pictures 🙂

My vote is for fixed focal.

    MAB looks a bit dated.

Sparks’ website was just slow and annoying.

Keith Hammock’s lighting skills are a bit lacking and he seems to blow out his whites quite a bit which kind of defeats the purpose of spending all that money on a fab dress since you can’t see the details/beading/lace.

I would say narrow it down to your top 2 and then meet with them to see who you mesh the best with.

I really don’t like #1’s overuse of the “whitening” effect. He really overdoes it, IMO. Look at the pic of the lady with the white pants, the pants are BLINDING…. & if your dress is white, you won’t be able to really see it. Also, the faces of the people are changed to a different skin color. Like the mom’s face is white, but you can tell she’s african american by her neck. It just looks really wierd. If he toned down that crazy whitening style so you can see detail, than maybe I would like him more.

I dont think the blown out white is something intentional that he could just “tone down” it looks more like an incorrect exposure. if he doesnt already know how to properly expose images, id be real hesitant to pay him to shoot my wedding. I want someone that knows what theyre doing completely. this is part of the reason that we’re looking for a photographer that has a degree in photography as well as the working experience.

oh and my vote is for fixed focal (out of those four). i see you’re in atlanta too, we just moved here. i found a really great photographer through a friend of mine, message me if you’d like the website. (im not sure if im allowed to just post in on here or if that is considered advertising for that photographer, im a newbie so i dont want to get into trouble!)
