I voted for clear stones. I probably would have liked colored stones better at that age but now (21) I usually go for clear if it’s an important piece. More timeless that way. But you know your daughter best!

I voted for the one with black diamonds because you said it was edgier and I’m assuming she likes edgey?? But for lasting over time I thought maybe the plain silver one. I just don’t know if at 27 she’ll want to wear what she did at 17 no matter what you choose?? They all really pretty, I love the infinity symbol!

The clear stones is nice, I think πŸ™‚ Definitely a piece that will last longer.

I like the silver one.  Not a fan of the rose gold cause it just looks like an “8” to me rather than infinity cause it doesnt have the depth/overlap I imagine infinity to have.

    That’s a really tough question!

You obviously know your daughter best so I can’t give you any advice there. Maybe a few things to consider though.

    – is it “just” a fun birthday present or something you’d like her to keep for ever and ever to remember you by?

    – what’s her style? edgy, feminine, jeans and t-shirts…?

    – does she have any other jewelry, even cheap fashion pieces? what colour metal does she prefer?

Btw, the rings are all beautiful! You can’t go wrong either way but if you want to play it extra safe, I suppose the clear stone ring or the plain silver one are best. They’re the most classic-looking, the other two are more fashionable. Good luck with making the right choice πŸ™‚

I love the rose gold one for a young girl, but I think she would like the one with white diamonds, especially if it would be her first diamond ring.

I like the first one best. I don’t like the rose gold one because it reminds me more of a bow than an infinity symbol – where the lines “cross” is melded together instead of appearing to cross over.

@Bridey77:  That’s so sweet that you and your mom have collected jewelry for her! In that case, I’d say either get matching rose gold rings for both if you, OR the black diamond ring (if it suits her current style more)!

@Bridey77:  Hahahaha! Well, the ninties ARE making a slow comeback but I think we’re not quite in 1994/1995 yet – give it about a year and you’ll be back in Seattle style πŸ™‚ I wore faded jeans and flannel shirts too when I was 15 but I eventually grew out of it – but guess what? It’s still a fond memory and my friends and I get sooo many laughs remembering that time of our lives. My point is, your daughter, being fashion-conscious and young, will most likely grow out of leggings and sock buns too but if you give her an edgy ring, it will probably serve as a trigger for all the fond memories of being a crazy teenager. So if that’s your only concern, just go with the black diamonds ring – she sounds like a young lady who will change her style a lot and fond memories of your mother giving you something you loved at 17 go with everything, I promise πŸ™‚
