Can you let me know if these are way over the top? I think they’re so unique. Can you also tell me which one you think they’d like better? or which one would look better in photos? We’re having a vintage meets Chinese inspired wedding. I’m a little concerned my taste might be too flamboyant.
(they will get pale green but this is the best pic I’ve found of the style. I’ll probably buy myself a coordinating white one like this.)
I’m also giving them hanky panky thongs, jewelry, and paying for their hair and make up so that’s why these aren’t super extravagent looking. It’s just something that will be fun for getting ready in and for the photo op. I saw the second one in real life in my local Chinatown and it’s a little chinzy, like you’d expect from polyester silk. The first one the seller promises is real silk from silkworms. What do you think? The first one will cost me about $22 and the second $18.

@engdom: I really like the first one. The colors are so rich and vibrant. I think it will look good on any skin tone 🙂

i think I am confused… is this for a gift or the ceremony?
if its a gift… comfort is key with robes… 🙂 I have a silk robe, and a terry long comfy soft robe, LOVE the terry robe, never wear the silk robe. you can even get it in your colors… But if you feel that is too “cheap” you can include spa items, lotions, pedicure sets, body washes, etc… that is an awesome idea actually.
If it is used in the wedding, then I think that one you have picked out is beautiful. It seems like this post should be so simple, but i am seriously confused, maybe overtired, sorry.

it’s a gift. to wear while they get their hair and make up done. I’m a little confused– why would they be wearing robes during my wedding? I thought robes were a pretty common gift? and like I said, they’ll be given with hanky panky thongs, 2 pieces of jewelry and I’m paying for their hair and make up.
My bridesmaids are some of the hottest women I know and I’m pretty sure they will not want terry robes as a bridesmaid gift.

@Mrs.tobe: Yeah they’re the most comfortable thongs ever! They are made out of stretch lace and are one size fits most. zero panty line and totally comfortable to wear all day. I’m a hanky panky believer, let me tell you! http://www.hankypanky.com/Thongs
