- Wedding: July 2013
Several months later, I’m STILL unsure what song I should walk down the aisle to. My wedding is 3 weeks away and it’s time to decide because I need to print the programs.
Fiance wants to stick to tradition and use “here comes the bride” (I don’t know why… he’s not the traditional type). I am not so sure about it… It’s alright. On the one hand, it’s safe and I feel like every little girl dreamt of walking down the aisle to it for years. And I guess for that same reason, it feels…. kind of generic?
For a while, I wanted to use “a thousand years” by Christina Perri… but now it seems like everyone’s doing that too. I also don’t want people to think I picked it because of Twillight (I really just love the song. It makes me happy. Don’t get me wrong, I do love Twillight, but it is just not the sort of thing I generally shout from the rooftops or base wedding decisions on). And then there’s “I can’t help [falling in love with you] by Elvis, which is my mom’s top choice and I really do like it… it’s romantic.
I guess my problem is that I haven’t fallen in love with any of these songs. I have gone back and forth between “here comes the bride,” “a thousand years” and “I can’t help [falling in love with you]” too many times to count. So I’ve decided to leave it up to you bees to decide for me. =)

By The Way, we’re having a string quartet play live, so whatever song it is, it will be instrumental.
