I found out today that- I was accepted for the Guatemalan field school!
This means I would need a stand-in for my month long stay in the Western Highlands and I would love for all your opinions. I’m going for something without too much detail and not really in-your-face as I feel it wouldn’t be appropriate as a field participant observer.
I think 2 is my favorite and 4 is FH’s favorite.

You should add a poll. I personally love 4. It is simple enough for you to wear and not attract attention but to me it still says wedding ring or something special.

@MsBrooklynA: Fixed. I was having a brain blank and couldn’t find the poll function

I like #4 best, very pretty!

Congrats on getting accepted! 🙂
I personally like the plain band. It’s simple and definitely not “in your face”. Plus, it’s your favorite.

I love #4, but depending on how it’s cut it could be too ornate? #1 is a close second, though!

Congrats!! My favorites were 4 and 5, but it’s definitely about personal preference!

I love the first one! It’s simple but classicly pretty!

I voted for #5… #4 is actually my favorite but field school sounds like you’re going to be getting your hands dirty doing stuff (or i have no idea what that is and just made myself sound stupid lol) and if that is the case, it seems like that’d be really easy to get things caught in and get dirty in, etc. #5 is detailed without being SO detailed stuff would get caught in it.

@CorgiTales: It’s an Anthropological Field school so I’m going to have a “pet project” to study for the month. The professor running mentioned that the last time a museum student like me went he wasn her to focus on material culture, so it could potentially be less dirty but I may also be lumped in with one of my friends going who can actually speak Spanish fluently. So you aren’t necessarily wrong- I don’t know even know yet.
