anyone else getting very overwhelmed with the little details?! Just when i think i know what i want… i have no clue. lol
this is my dress – and im considering a fingertip or chapel/cathedral veil but dont know what would look best…so here comes the bee poll! other suggestions welcome as well!
i’d also love to see your photos of the veil you chose with your mermaid/trumpet dresses.

what does the back of your dress look like?

I really think fingertips work against the flow of most dresses so I would try a chapel or cathedral (just dont get one longer than your dress.) I think fingertips chop off the body at odd angles but thats just my opinion. 🙂 Your dress looks lovely!

I think fingertip would work really well with your gown! But you also can’t go wrong with the chapel/cathedral option – it’s such a classic, in my opinion. My gown was sort of fit and flare, and I wore a cathedral veil with blusher. I loved it! And it looked lovely in photos. This was the one day I would ever wear a veil, so I thought “go big or go home” lol. (Unrelated-I smiled so hard all day long that I’m basically squinting in every photo, and it really annoys me! Haha)

I would go with fingertip – while I agree with @sheepandbear that the length can make the body appear like it’s chopped off at weird/unflattering places sometimes, I think that shouldn’t be a problem with your dress.
Plus, I’m a major klutz, so I know I would end up tripping over anything longer than my feet.
You look fantastic in that dress, by the way!

Either fingertip or cathedral!

i thought i wanted fingertip and then when i tried one on, it did kind of have an odd look to it, now that you mention, it does kind of cut the body in a weird way!
@GracieGirl11: that dress and that veil are gorgeous together, you look great! Makes me lean toward the long veil…
@thwarted: LOL I absolutely said the same to my mom when we very first talked about veils “not too long cause ill trip on it im sure!”

@Jessicachantal: Your dress is similar to mine and I went with a 2 layer elbow length veil with rhinestone trim

@Jessicachantal: I vote cathedral or chapel. It’s so elegant and timeless. Fingertip or elbow length just aren’t my taste; they seem more like playing dress up than being a bride. I guess I’m just not a fan of how they cut the body in half. I’m with @GracieGirl11: if you’re going to wear a veil.. wear a VEIL!
Here’s mine 😀 …you can see why my answer is totally biased lo

I am partial to cathedral because I was so happy that I wore one but I also love the veil on @weddingbound: for your dress which added extra sparkles!
Here’s mine, cathedral and fingertip.

that looks beautiful on you!! your hairstyle is similar to what i am looking at doing as well 🙂
@OnceUponATime: wow that veil is stunning. i may be swayed to go with a long one. there is just something so classic about it… which really fits my whole wedding day/”theme”
@Westitude: did you wear the fingertip for the reception and cathedral for ceremony?? What a great idea! You look great by the way!

I VOTED OTHER
You have a GORGEOUS Dress By The Way
I think you can do ANY of the options, as the Dress truly does suit them all.
Cathedral is so regal
Chapel still wonderful… but less to manage… which can be a big deal
And Fingertip such a classic.
I too like the idea that @Westitude: incorporated… using one for the Wedding and another for the Reception, maintains the overall look, but is far more practical.
Hope this helps,
