First off, Congratulations!!! Secondly, I would suggest you order both. I absolutely love Modcloth but you never know. I’m plus size as well 18-20, and just recently order the gilded grace dress in champagne for myself and although I loved it on just about everyone in the photos it just looked awful on me. I found it to be a totally different color then what the pictures looked like and ultimately what I expected. That’s not to say I don’t still LOVE the dress! I really wanted it to work but for me it didn’t. If you order both you’ll see how they work for you, although the you do sacrifice about $6.00 for return shipping for whichever you return unless you opt. for modcloth credit.  I hope this helps! Best of luck and congrats!

I would pick the first one, the second one is very pretty! so you can’t go wrong, but the first one seems more festive

blossom78:  I personally advise against buying Chi Chi London dresses with lace. It looks amazing. However, I bought a Chi Chi London dress for my first dance (and returned it). My dress looked nice, but the lace part irritated my skin. It’s not a soft lace at all.

They are both gorgeous. What will your accessories be?

the lacey one is dreamy and romantic. The white one is classy stylish.

Hmmm – I didn’t vote because I think you should order both, try them on, and see which fits you better. Until you actually try them on you just won’t know how they fit. I like the lacy dress on the model more than the satin dress, but you may find that the lacy dress just doesn’t fit you right and the satin dress is perfect! You can always return the other dress after trying them on! 🙂

blossom78:  Both are so attractive but I think the sleeves and back of the first one steal my heart. 😍 My vote is definitely #1 and Congratulations to you both on your upcoming nuptials! <3

blossom78: Congratulations! The dresses are beautiful but I’m in agreement with the other bees that ordering both is probably the best way to go. I’ve had similar experiences with lace items from Mod Cloth with it being different than expected/depicted and not the most comfortable.

That being said though I prefer the second dress. It’s classic, clean, elegant, and timeless. It has a simple enough “canvas” to really be styled up with fabulous shoes, statement pieces, and color pops!

A friend of mine got married in the Modcloth “I Do” dress a few years ago and it was perfect for their court-house-esque ceremony! Note: she had it altered slightly to remove some of the rose petals up top and have a more tapered look down to the hemline. The image is also off Google and not actually her.

blossom78:  if you go nude/pearls go lace. If you go for colour go for the Marilyn style one. Both great though!
