Darling Husband gave the ok to get my anniversary band so I am taking advantage of the Blue Nile sale that ends tomorrow! I have the BN split shank halo with a 1.31 carat round diamond. When I bought this setting I was originally going to get at some point two thin eternity bands to go on each side. But now I thinking just one band and one that’s slightly wider than what I was originally planning.
The options I have narrowed it down to are: the semi-eternity Garland band, the French Pave eternity band, or the Luna eternity band (1 tcw). Blue Nile advised me NOT to buy an eternity band due to it not being able to be resized. But I really prefer the look of the eternity band, especially since the diamonds on my halo shank go 3/4 of the way down. Any opinions on that? I’m 38 years old, and done having kids. 😉 I don’t forsee any huge finger size changes but I guess anything is possible!
I should add that while I wear my halo majority of the time, I want the diamond band to be one that looks good worn alone.
So, please help me pick! DH doesn’t care, he just wants whatever I order to be the perfect one for me, and not return it if possible.
Thank you! 🙂

What fun to go shopping!!!
Have you worn full eternities before? They’re not the comfiest of a-bands but they sure are pretty. I do love the garland but it may get bonked by your halo so I’d say a half-loop 1ctw would be my preference.

I like the pave full eternity. The garland looks clunky to me.

carrotcake2003: I love the Garland Band. I drool over it on their site on a regular basis. I voted for that one, because I think it’s so fantastic and would be pretty with your ERing and worn alone.
But, I also think the French Pave would look beautiful with the rest of your set!

I drool over the garland, too! Once, my hubs leans over and points to it on the laptop screen, saying that he liked it but with rubies. Squeee! I tried so hard to contain my excitement. lol

NFLwidow: LOL! I love it with blue sapphires. I would definitely not be able to contain my excitement if my Darling Husband said that!

#2. I prefer the “normal” eternity bands to the garland setting, and the prongs on #3 are a bit too prong-y for me personally. #2 shows more diamond –> more shine!

#2 hands down. I think the garland will be “too much” with your ring. #3 is too much metal, not enough bling.

The garland ring! I also drool over that one all the time.
