Our engagement session is in just a month. It’ll be in the same historic neighborhood that our venue is in (literally it will be in the park right beside of the venue.)
I bought two shirt sets about a month ago and figured either one would be fine to wear. Now I’m not sure about either one of them, but I dont have any spare money to buy any new clothes.
Shirt set 1: A white tank with blue sequins and a blue cardigan type thingy. Its really light and airy which is good because it’ll be hot. But I dont think its very flattering, especially when I’ll be sitting down. I wouldnt wear any jewelry with it because I think the sequins on the shirt would be enough.
Shirt set 2: A blue ruffley neck tank and a purple cardigan. I think its more flattering and I would be more comfortable with it not showing tummy rolls. But the cardigan is very sweater-like and I would be HOT. I would wear the necklace that I’m wearing in the picture.
I would wear skinny jeans and white sandles with both of them.
Fiance will be wearing this shirt and jeans.
So tell me ladies, which would you pick?
Also, I’d just like to say, I’m so thankful for this board. I’d be lost without it (as is shown by how I make a new topic asking a question every other day.)

@allyfally: First thing…you and your Fiance are adorable (and gorgeous).
Second thing…definitely go with the second shirt set. It fits you beautifully, is a marvelous colour, and does amazing things for your boobs! Are you comfortable only wearing the cardigan in some of the photos?

Style-wise: the second set. I’ve seen a lot of engagement photos on these boards and around, and I find it looks nicest when wearing “office casual” type clothes. The first set is a little too casual.
The only problem is, the first set goes really really well with his shirt!!!
So leaning towards the second set but is there no way he will change what he’s wearing?? hahaha

@MlleFabuleux: Aww, thanks!!
Unfortunately, I’m extremely self conscious about my arms because I have really bad skin tags on my underarms. As long as my arms will be firmly down though, I would have no problem. Maybe I could get the photographer to edit out any tags that may show.

@SortaTradBride: I was actually thinking that the second one was more casual! Haha. No, he wont wear another shirt. Thats actually about the fanciest thing he owns. The rest of his shirts are all torn or have the word “beer” somewhere on them. XD

I much prefer the first! I think it is far more “put together”. If it would make you feel more confident, you could wear a pair of tummy control Spanx under your pants (they suck me right in all the way to the band of my bra! Love them!).
You and your Fiance are so cute in that pic! 😀

@allyouneedislove: I’m actually wearing a waist cincher in those pictures. It sucks in me in a good deal, but the main problem with it is that the boning looks weird when I sit down. I cannot find spanx that fit me good. All the ones I’ve tried make me look pregnant or wont stay up.
Oh and thanks!

Anyone else got an opinion?

@allyfally: are you allowed an outfit change? id ask your photographer if you could change part of the way through and wear both outfits. (i like them both) but then you wont kick yourself for picking the wrong outift 🙂 and maybe your FH can change his shirt half way too. just give you two different looks. when i did family pics last year we did half dressy and the other half casual.
which one do you like more? or better yet, which one does your FH like more? 🙂

Shirt combo 2 is too casual – but I see what you mean about shirt 1 being too clingy. I don’t know how this would look with that shirt, but if I have a shirt that is too clingy sometimes I will wear a belt and slighty pull the shirt on top, this makes the bottom of the shirt flow out more.
If you weren’t wearing the sweater, I wouldn’t suggest it – but with the sweater I think it actually could work, and would add some defination to your waist.

I like the second one better.
