I am having 2 flavors for my cake. I have one picked already, its a delicious and smooth vanilla. For the other I am torn between red velvet and a marble swirl. They both taste great and my Fiance and I are undecided. What should I pick?

I picked Marble Swirl. I am a Red Velvet fan but I feel like EVERYONE and their cats are having it as a wedding cake. I think Marble swirl is tasty and it is different! It would complement the Vanilla well.

Oh man what a choice. I like both equally but I think it would depend on what kind of frosting you have going with it.

I vote red velvet because it’s the opposite of the vanilla. When you get birthday cakes with two flavors, it’s usually a chocolate and vanilla. Red velvet should cover all your guests’ flavor preferences. Yummy decisions are the most fun!

Ahhh its almost even in the voting!! I am so torn, the icing was so good on both too. I guess that means I can’t go wrong with either??

What type of icing are you having on the vanilla, and what type of icing comes on the other two? I voted red velvet for the same reason as painauchocolat.

I’d pick marble swirl because it will go well with the vanilla cake. Red velvet has a cream cheese frosting & it may not taste as smoothly as the vanilla… not to mention chocolate + vanilla = the perfect combination!

I”m bias and voted for Red Velvet. I love Red Velvet and having it for our wedding cake. Once the cake is cut, the red matches with our theme color.

I’m definitely partial to red velvet. Sooooo yummy!

I agree with painauchocolat! I <3 red velvet and I picked it also because it is the total opposite of vanilla!

I love both flavors! But, we have opted to have one layer Almond, one layer Red Velvet, and on layer Chocolate. It gives everyone some very “TASTY” options
But honestly, you can’t go wrong with either one!

Marble swirl is my favorite 🙂

I can’t eat chocolate so I’m not much help personally, but I always hear how much everybody loves red velvet, so I would go with that.

Red velvet!!! Even though ‘everyone’ has it at their wedding, how many weddings do most people really attend? I know I don’t go to more than two a year, so odds are your guests won’t realize its a common choice. Other than at weddings, when else do you get a chance to eat red velvet? Aaaand it’s THE ULTIMATE CAKE FLAVOUR!
