Inspiration for outfit 1

Inspiration for outfit 2 and 3 as I think they could both work with this type of location and editing?

Outfit 3- I know most dont like this top or find the outfit too trendy but my intention was for more up close photos in this outfit because I liked the lace design and the coral and black is our wedding colors. So think more of this?

lilmissangel03: I think you need high heel shoes for #1… I am talking closed toed heels or a peep toe heel. The sandals are a little to casual for that dress. The third outfit I am not a fan. The casual look is cute.

californiabride2013: 😛 heels indeed!! And it shows off my tattoo (Picture on the right with my wedding shoes!) so I’m excited for that now that I’ve somewhat gotten past my leg insecurities lol

I think the closed toed nude pumps in your inspiration photo for look #1 make the look more elegant as opposed to strappy high heels. If you have to wear one of the two heels you’ve shown, go for the silver. The black is too harsh.
about the button shirt- I’m just worried that it will end up makinging you look a bit frumpy. Can you try tucking the shirts in? Skinny Jeans with a looSe tucked in silk button up shirt is cute. But maybe I can’t tell bc the photo u posted is close up.
As for the third outfit i actually like the black skirt but you will regret wearing that pink shirt. In photography, the light colour nude under the darker pink will end up making u look bigger.
I like your sports outfit now that you explained it.

The only one I really like is #2, although I think it would look better with a cute black blazer than with the boyfriend cardigan. Sometimes cardigans like that just don’t photograph well and can look kind of sloppy in pictures. While #4 isn’t my style, I get the look you’re going for and I think it could be very cute.
#1 just looks way too much like club wear. In the inspiration photo you posted, her dress is not super short or skin-tight, which gives it more of an evening feel and less of a club feel. Your dress is VERY tight and VERY short and while I’m certainly not claiming you can’t rock it, it just doesn’t look appropriate for engagement photos. I do not like #3 at all for similar reasons…additionally, it is very unflattering.

applecat: +1000 # 1 is very clubby and now that I saw your inspiration pic I can kind of understand the look you were going for but not the lenght or the fit of the dress…. I think the black shirt/cardigan of #2 hides the beauty of the sequin top so I would ditch that and maybe go sleeves or add a white blazer. #3 is a no go for all the reasons described and I think 4 is fine…
Bottom line, I think your engagement photos should someone reflect the type of wedding your having… From these photos, I would guess that its a laid back party hard type of wedding and if thats the look that you are going for then keep all of them… if not, then consider switching things up!

mrsaxachef: party hard type wedding.. That’s incredibly judgmental. Just because I’m younger doesn’t mean I party hard and you can’t determine that based on the clothing choices

lilmissangel03: It honestly wasnt meant to be judgmental and I apologize if it came off that way. I dont know how old you are so it wasnt an assumption based on your age! As far as the clothing choices, i will have to disagree that you cant determine the atmosphere of a wedding based on the types of photos included. The look and feel of the wedding is based entirely on e-photos and typography which are the only things that your guest see prior to showing up. With the black dress, the see-through coral top and the football jersey photo, your theme screams party! I’m just going based on MY perception of your photos! Others may draw other conclusions (or they may draw the same ones) This is just one opinion of many.

I think #3’s skirt would be cuter with a black lace top. The pink lace seems mis-matchy to me. (Although if you do a black top with #3’s skirt then you shouldn’t do both outfits #1 & #3 in the same photo shoot because they’d be too similar).
If you are sporty and enjoy playing/watching sports with your Fiance, then include the sporty outfit. If you’re adding that one just to change it up, then I would exclude it.
I would also consider striking the black top from outfit #2. It seems like a lot of black going on since you’re wearing something black in every single outfit. I also think it’s an unnecessary addition to the cute sequin top.

Id say get rid of #2 or #3. I love the other choices though.

I would definately say yes to outfit #1. Love the dress and suit with button down idea. I do not like outfit #2 and its casual to me not semi-formal. If you look up the definition of semi-formal its basically your outfit #1…little black dress for women, suit for men. I had to look this crap up for my wedding guests because they were super confused as to what semi-formal attire meant. Jeans are never considered semi-formal. If you want to do outfit #2 as your casual look then I would lose the black button down you have on and put on some cute flats for a casual look. Even though the shirt has sequins, when paired with jeans, its considered casual. Pair the sequined shirt with a pants suit and heels and you might can call it semi-formal. Not a fan of outfit #3 nor #4. #4 would work if the tops tied together like your pinterest inspiration but they don’t. But these are just my suggestions to get the look you desire for your formal or semi-formal session and casual session.
