Ok you guys, I really need help here! I know I want an oval diamond with halo. What I’m struggling with now is whether I would ideally choose a literally flawless diamond, and give up a pave band (can always get my pave wedding band!) or have a diamond with still great specs and get that blingy band! Here are my options…
0.40 ct excellent cut, D color, IF

OR this diamond…0.40 ct, excellent cut, F color, VS1 clarity

Help me!!! Would you REALLY be able to tell the difference between these 2 diamonds? They’re only $200 difference, but the bands are also $200 diference and I’m really trying to stay right on the ideal budget here. Thank you!

unless you are going to be inspecting it with a loupe every day I would suggest you get the f colour diamond with the pave band as you will notice that much more than a slightly less ideal but still very good diamond

I’d go with secret option C, a larger diamond in the GH range and SI clarity, and a plain band.
But no, you won’t be able to tell the difference between the 2 you posted.

If you are leaning towards the pave band then I would totally go for it! You will regret it if you don’t. I honestly can’t tell much about diamonds, I have a moissy myself, so I care alot more about the setting than the rock! But if it’s a matter of $200? Just do it lol. Don’t eat out for a month hehehe

I personally love halos with a plain band and blingy wedding ring. I say go with a pp’s idea and get a lower clarity and a blinged out wedding band! I love the first ring-very pretty.
