Bacon wrapped medjool dates! Given that your wedding is late summer, I think I’d go for three hot and three cold apps, and try not to double up on proteins (so you’ve got a duck dish, don’t pick another poultry dish for example).  The mini lamb chops sound amazing too, or vegetable potstickers are always a winner. And I’d eat the goat cheese tart in a heartbeat!

I agree with KiwiDerbyBride, I think 3 hot and 3 cold would be good. Absolutely yes to the duck quesadillas, and the potato blinis sound amazing too! For cold appetizers, the goat cheese tart sounds delicious, and maybe the smoked salmon & potato latke or else the gazpacho shooters.

For hot appetizers, those mac and cheese cubes sound awesome, and the petite banh mi or mini lobster rolls would also be good. Spring rolls or potstickers are always crowd pleasers, as well.

You have so many good options, you really can’t go wrong! Tough decision!

I think 3 hot 3 cold too.

I like your two choices for hot and cold.

The two more hot that stood out to me were tequila shrimp polenta thing, and the bacon wrapped date… Yum to those

then for two more cold I would like the traditional bruschetta and the goat cheese tart … Double yummm

good luck choosing! The food at your venue sounds legit! 👍

Ugh. So many good options and now I’m overwhelmed and hungry!

I vote the lamb and scallops as two options, though!

Ahh it all sounds so good lol. If I had 2 pick 4 more to go with the choices you’ve already made, I’d go with:

– Vegetable pot stickers (hot)

– Petite bahn mi (hot)

– Roasted baby lamb chops (hot)

– Traditional tomato bruschetta (cold)

winencheese83 :  What’s the rest of your menu? These all sound great, but they’re all over the board as far as style and cuisine. You don’t have to stick to one theme, but when there are this many choices, it can make decisions easier.

I vote for the lobster roll and the Waldorf salad. And the deviled egg.

This is an amazing menu and it would be so hard to choose!

3 hot 3 cold

Or 4 hot 2 cold

In addition to having variety of proteins and veggie, I would also consider the right proportion wet/soft vs dry/crispy items (bread/pastry based items, fried potato,  roasted meats would be in the dry category)

So for cold, to add a bit of wetness I would pick either that waldorf salad or one of those 2 soup shots (gazpacho or pea soup)

Based upon your venue and the choices you’ve already made I’d go with:

Roasted Sea Scallops , Pancetta, Chive Beurre Blanc

Roasted Baby Lamb Chops, Herb Crust, Violet Mustard

Goat Cheese Tart with Roasted Apricots and Basil

Salmon Crudo, Pomegranate, Pickled Radish

Do you have many vegetarian guests?

Another vote for lobster rolls!

I also love the sound of the beef carpaccio, the bocconcini and cherry tomato Skewers and the compressed watermelon
