Hey everyone! My wedding is November 30th (after much shuffling around). Since it is still in November, but just the start at the christmas season, I was wondering what I should go with. Christmasy/winter feel or a fall feel? The Christmas season literally starts the day before my wedding. Advice is much needed!!

@MrsPearl: I personally would go with a Christmas holiday theme, just because I feel more people have emotional, warm feelings to holiday decorations vs than with fall decorations.

@MrsPearl: I don’t think you need to limit yourself to either Christmas or Fall themes. You can use your favorite colors no matter what time of year.
You could also pick one of your interests such as books, sports, travel etc to use as your theme.

@MrsPearl: If you really want to do either one or the other in terms of fall or holiday themed, I would go with Holiday (fall is a tad overdone at this point). I wouldn’t do the whole over-done “winter wonderland” theme though, with the silver and light blue. I would probably do a rustic cabin at Christmas theme ๐ (depending on the venue)

@MrsSkeletonKey: I was definitely thinking of going with the rustic theme, just wondering if I should lean toward fall or winter/christmas. Love rustic!

What style, which colors do you love ? I think you should not restrain yourself to those two themes/seasons right from the start, it might cut your creativity rather than inspire it. Both themes could be great, but you have to choose a theme that reflects you and your Fiance more than anything else. ๐

I’m not a huge fan of christmas themed weddings so I’d probabl go with winter.

What would winter rustic look like? I’ve never heard of that before.

I guess it depends on where you live. Here in Coastal CA winter doesn’t really hit until January. Winter officially starts December 21st, November 30th is still Autumn, as an American I immediately think of it’s proximity to Thanksgiving which is super Fall oriented.
