Please help me choose my wedding band! I initially thought I wanted a very plain white gold band however my engagement ring band is 1 mm thin and I think a diamond band would compliment it better. The way my halo is built no band (unless custom) will ever sit flush, but I am ok with a gap.
For reference, my ring is a Ritani, and does have a somewhat matching band (Option 1) however the matching band is very expensive for the size of the diamonds. If I am going to have a mismatched band I want it to be noticeably mismatched. I dont want it to look like I was looking for a close match and just missed the mark.
What do you think looks best? I am open to suggestions and comments. Feel free to post your own sets too!
OPTION 1:

OPTION 2:

OPTION 3:

Not an option. Just to show the size different between options 2 (medium) and 3 (big):

@mrsmeyers84: thanks! I think I’m just worried that it blends in too well and doesnt make a statement on its own.

I voted the first one. It looks like it goes which is what you didn’t want but I felt like the other two took away from you gorgeous engagement ring but I’m sure which ever one you pick will be perfect.

@YellowMoon: this is a legitimate concern. I think I am becoming a size queen. Every time I try on a diamond band I find myself asking “do you have a bigger one i can try?” My center diamond is not small (1.01), but it is not huge so I dont want the band to look strange if I were to go for the medium or large one.

Even though I thought I didnt have a preference or front runner I must admit I am disappointed that all the bees whove responded prefer the smaller band. I honestly think it is my least favorite lol!

I like the medium one. Could you do two small ones on either side? That might balance it out.

Ok ok ok. lol. Would it change anyones mind if I said the smallest band that everyone likes (option 1) cost 2x what the largest band (option 3) cost?! I find that atrocious.

@lovelyMsValentine: the jewellery store was VERY convinced I should buy two of the skinny bands – one for each side. I have never loved 2 bands. I like the symbolism of an engagement ring and a wedding band. Not to mention one of my concerns with the small ring is the big price. and two bands would make that big price huge!!!

I think option #1 looks gorgeous with your engagement ring. It really makes your center stone pop.

I love sets so I’m voting on number 1 because it really looks good with the engagement ring.
