I think the answers you’ll get will all come down to each girl’s preference unless you have specific pics of the three types of bands with your e-ring.

I prefer eternity (full or half) bands since it has a more continuous look to it.

I always lean away from eternity rings because of future sizing issues.  I would choose a seven stone as they look almost half eternity depending on your size

My Fiance and I were debating on eternity or diamonds on only half the band.  We decided to just do half.  It winds up being half the price of what the eternity would cost and it will match my e-ring perfectly!

I have a half eternity band.  I never considered a full eternity because of the sizing issue mentioned by PP, the cost, the greater possibility of knocking out a diamond on the underside, and the fact that you don’t actually see the underside of the ring.  lol  That last one was big for me.  My ring does spin, but it wasn’t worth the extra cost or worry for me to get the full eternity.

I like eternity bands (full or half) because of the continuous line of sparkle.

I prefer the stones to go farther down the side .. But hate the idea of “crunching” stones on the the underside of the ring everytime I hold anything >.< I have a 7stone RHR and I love it but I prefer the half eternity look in my Solitaire

Here is an example of both

I have a half eternity band and kind of wish I would of went with something else. It drives me nuts that my ring turns and the diamonds aren’t centered. I feel like I’m always adjusting it. I might be alittle OCD though…

What about a 3/4 eternity so it doesn’t go all the way around

I think what looks best depends also on the size of your solitaire and the total carat weight of the bands you are considering.

IMO, in general, the half or full eternity bands look best with a solitaire because they do not overpower your center stone.

But if you do not plan on wearing your set most of the time, then I think that the 5 or 7 stone bands have more of a presence to them, IOW they look more substantial when wearing them alone without an e-ring.

Again, it would depend on the carat weight.  Are you considering something around 1/2 carat? 1/4 carat? 1 carat?

I have a 1/2 carat weight half eternity band.  Well, it’s actually more than half eternity because the diamonds go almost all the way down the sides of my finger.  I find it looks great when I wear it with my round diamond, but if I wear it on it’s own it’s not much (at least to me anyway 🙂 )

I think the only way to truly tell is to try them on yourself.

@country chic:  I agree ! I tried on so many carat weights at work and I ended up with the smallest possible because I didn’t want my center stone to feel smaller but they all look amazing together it’s just what you like more I woulda been happy with all of them if could 😡

i think 7 stone would feel uncomfortable.  Like you could always feel the point at which the diamond settings end and the plain metal begins.  I sometimes have that feeling with my e-ring, which has a very wide setting.
