- Wedding: July 2010
I’m a bridesmaid in August for a dear high school friend of mine. Although they now live in Vegas, they’re getting married in our hometown. I’ve been emailing with her sister, the Maid/Matron of Honor, about planning a bachelorette party the Wednesday before the wedding. The bride wanted something low key and simple and cheap.
I’ve agreed to host dinner at our condo before we go downtown to a wine bar for champagne and dessert. There will be 20 people invited, although we’ll probably have more like 12 come.
I’m thinking food from Costco? Should we do a dinner (lasagna, salad, bread, etc.) or hearty appetizers (egg rolls, cheese and crackers, jalepeno poppers, wrapped asparagus, etc.)? I’m also thinking of doing huckleberry lemonades (huckleberry vodka in lemonade; really good with a frozen strawberry in it!).
Our condo is more like a townhouse. From the street the layout is front porch, living room, kitchen, dining room, back porch, back yard, detached garage. It is not a huge place, but I think we’ll have plenty of room, especially if we have space outside if the weather is nice (it should be).
What bachelorette party movie should I have playing on the TV in the living room? Decorations? Maybe white crhistmas lights strung outside between the house and the garage to give it a garden party feeling? Badmiton (sp?) on the grass?
Other fabulous ideas?
