yes i was thinking the same thing too. If it is the kind i am thinking of… its sort of see through a bit… with tiny holes that you can not really see, but it’s not thick like muslin or cotton. I worry about the iron on transfers…. it may not stick to the material… becasue it is not a “solid” material…. like if you painted something on it, the paint would sep through, i worry about ironing on something and having it be stick to the fabric, and whatever is behind the fabric as well, I also worry about being able to roll it up again.

How about using a more shear fabric for the runner, and then just securing the photos to the underside of the runner, so you can see them through the fabric?

For fabric maybe canvas? It can be heavy enough and should take the transfers well (def. test first)

I found a post where the bride talks about how she made it. Sounds like it was a lot of work, but what a great personal touch.
