I personally don’t think it’s too big but then my ring is a little on the large side so maybe I am biased. I have a 2.1 carat equivalent sapphire as a center stone and then .4 carats of diamonds in the halo so it is probably just slightly larger in size than yours (and by size I don’t mean carats!). I think that ring looks gorgeous but if it makes you uncomfortable then I would go with the 1.5 carat equivalent!

Are you buying a moissanite to pass it off as a diamond? If so, I say go for the 1.5 carat unless you can afford a 2 carat, than people would be less inclined to think it isn’t a diamond. If you are buying a moissanite as a moissanite because you love the stone, I say go for the 2 carat! I think it fits your hand nicely.

I agree with PP (: If you don’t want people asking if it’s “real” then I’d go with the smaller, but the 2ct is pretty on you if you are ok with the size yourself (:

Yay bezels!!! Personally I dont think the 2ct is much for your finger. But my finger is a 6 and I have a similar setting with a 1.5ct diamond, 2mm band.

@reebeck27:  Thanks!!! Definitely go with your gut, I think. If you’re not comfortable with the 2ct stone, I think the 1.5ct will be perfect! Congrats on your engagement 🙂

Ooo gosh that’s a hard one! The cz ring does look big, but not *too* big on your fingers, it’s still a nice ratio. I do not think it is gaudy.

I do think the bezel makes stones look larger. I’m in nearly the exact same conundrum, only with 1.25 vs 1.5 on a 4.75-5.5 size finger (also rather short fingers). I absolutely know 2 ct would be way too huge for my fingers, but I’m drawn to 1.5 even though it does look very large to me!

One thing in favor of the 2ct is your setting — that is such a wearable setting that it won’t really matter if you go bigger or smaller.

What’s the norm for your area? Most women where I live don’t wear more than .75 ct (which is another reason 1.5 makes me slightly uncomfortable). But if ladies in your area rock big stones you’ll certainly get used to 2 cts! Good luck & let us know what you decide. (:

Because the ring you’re looking at has a thinner band, I vote for 1.5, BUUUT…

the 2 carat on your ring looks awesome. Go with whichever one you’d feel most comfortable wearing on a daily basis.

Either way it will be gorgeous.  I voted for 1.5 only because my tastes are “smaller” but go with whatever you feel better about.

I dont think the 2 carat looks like its too much at all ! That being said, I think you sound like the 1.5 carat is what would make you happiest so I say go for it !! You cant go wrong dear !! 🙂 Congrats on the engagement 🙂
