I’m completely new at this and have no idea what I’m doing. I recently purchased a loose color-change sapphire after falling in love with them here on the Bee, and now I need to try to set it in a ring. I am trying to keep costs reasonable, and feel it’ll be cheaper for me to purchase a semi-mount and have a jeweler set it rather than bring it to the jeweler to purchase a mounth. In your experience (if you have any with this), was this the case?
Now where in the world do I buy a semi mount that’ll fit the stone exactly? It’s a 3.6 ct emerald cut, dimensions 7.1 X 8.8 X 4.2.
Thanks for any thoughts or advice you can offer!

Oops, can this please be moved to Rings?

I moved it for you
I would take it to a store just to check out your options. Once you know what you’re looking for it will be much easier!

@ArmyWifey8.23: I’d love to see pictures of your stone! What kind of color shift does it have??
I’ve got a loose color changer that I’ve been meaning to set. I found a setting that I liked on Etsy, so I e-mailed the seller and told them the dimensions of my sapphire and asked them if they could set it for me in one of their settings. They said it would be no problem at all, and all I need to do is mail them the stone. They won’t even charge me anything to set it!
