I never thought I would ever type those words. My bedroom is very large, at least by apartment standards. It’s 12×15, with a 4×5 ft alcove next to the window (where my dresser is), and the windows are all on the 12′ wall with the alcove, covering the entire wall. The room is extremely bright – we face west, with no shade, so daylight isn’t an issue. The walls are taupe, the carpet is a standard grey berber, and the ceiling is white. Our furniture is all black, the sheets are solid (damask stripe) navy and wheat, and we have a wedgewood blue matellase coverlet and shams. I have white sheers to put over the windows as a first layer, but we’re having alot of trouble finding drapes. The lease states that the back layer must be white since we face the street. But, we’re on the third floor of an old school, and we have screens, so we do have some privacy and color block from the street.
Does anyone have an idea for inexpensive curtains or drapes that are lined or can be lined? The size is 84″, and I truly cannot afford more than $100 for the entire window, so I know I need to be creative. But I’m not creative at all. Since all the other colors in the rooms are solids, I really think I need a print, but I have no clue what one. Plus, I have nothing on the walls either.
Help, please??? I’ll try to upload photos since I know that WB loves pics 🙂
