@mightywombat:A stick of gum usually works with a BIG glass of water.

I had to quit cold turkey.  The first week was horrible.  It helped that I started tracking my calories and was able to have a visual of how bad those things were.

I still cave once in a while, but I am sure to track it all.  It sometimes helps if I drink water first too.  It helps fill you up a bit so you dont try to stuff 2 in your face!

sugar is addictive – literallly!

If you have it more frequently, your body/mind will crave it more. If you cut it out (cold turkey is hard but effective!) you will stop craving it!

I would just make sure I have something to nibble on for those cravings. Like one of those 100 pack calorie snack bags, or a 100 cal chocolate bar. You get your craving, but only have to work out for like 10 minutes to burn it off. Win win. 🙂

Fiber One 90-calorie brownies and Vitatops brownies and muffin tops… They’re chocolatey, sweet, and actually good for you (and everything from Vitatops is 100 calories or less).  I love chocolate, carbs, bread, you name it, and these have both helped me a lot.

If I feel like I need something more, I’ll have a low-calorie brownie with a cup of coffee with milk and Splenda.  It satisfies the hungry/chocolate/sweet/creamy feeling I tend to get between meals and wakes me up too.

If it’s the sweet you crave, also try these:

Haha, I can’t help you if I can’t help myself!  I am a sweets addict!  But, I take it overboard.  Very overboard.  Like, carton of ice cream in 24 hours overboard =[
