I’ve been getting a lot of things on Etsy, so they are getting a grabbag of stuff! Here’s what they are getting:

  • Kate Spade Chrissy wristlet (can double as a clutch for the night)
  • Custom Hand Calligraphy set of 18 note cards with their names (Etsy)
  • Hand embroidered handerchief with their initial (Etsy)
  • Pearl bracelet (Overstock)

I love some of the custom things on Etsy, that can be personalized, like the jewelry. My Fiance got these sterling silver tie bars, that have their initials engraved in the front. He was really excited about them!

So far i’ve got them jewellery which they’ll wear on our wedding day see pic. In the UK it’s tradition that the bride buys their dresses, which i’ve done and i’ve got them a clutch bag each to use onthe day. I’ve got a small jewellery box for them which say ‘For our Bridesmaid’ on the top. I’m going to get them a few other things too like miniature bottles of Bombay Sapphire gin.

I’m getting each of our bridesmaids a pashmina in a different color of blue/teal/purple. I am also looking at getting each of them a cute and different necklace from Etsy. And lastly, I’m writing each of them a letter thanking them for our friendship and their support in our new life, etc, etc. I’m sure I’ll cry when they read them, I’m a sap ๐Ÿ™‚

I found some really pretty brass purse mirrors that I was able to have each of their names engraved on. They always come in handy!

My bridesmaids received pink pearl earrings by a local artist and a Sephora gift card. The cool thing about Sephora gift cards is that they come in a little makeup mirror and in a box. Sephora will also give you bags and tissue paper, so you don’t have to worry about going out and buying wrapping supplies. They really liked it because they had something as a keepsake and they could buy whatever they wanted instead of me picking out random lotions and bath gels for them.

If you can’t find good local artists, I would suggest National Geographic’s Novica http://jewelry.novica.com/. They have beautiful jewelry made by artists from around the world. A few things I ordered came in a pretty handmade cloth box. As you can tell, I like presentation! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope it’s OK to suggest my own shop here!  I’ve had people buy the mini journals and turn them into necklaces as bridesmaids gifts:

There are a lot of other great things on Etsy. I’m going to get my bridesmaids handmade heart lockets from an Etsy shop.

i’ve been debating this a lot lately as I’m trying to wrap everything up.  Over the many months of planning and stumbling on good deals, this is what i have so far:

  • reusable tote bag that can be worn as a tote or folded up and kept in your bag
  • footzy roll shoes to wear post ceremony
  • pearl cuff bracelet for the ceremony
  • pearl studs for the ceremony
  • emergency kit for the day of
  • probably gift card or something for my Maid/Matron of Honor

I have been debating what the “extra” thing would be for my Maid/Matron of Honor, and have settled on gift cards.  i think with everything else they’re getting, a gift card would be like icing on top of the cake.

I got super cute square storage totes that I’m filling for each one.  They are canvas from wal*mart for $6 each! My plan is to buy one GIFT for each, then put some “survival” type things in each.  Flip flops for the ceremony, toiletries for the day before/day of, water, snacks, all for cheap that I plan on getting at the dollar store and for cheap.  Then each one if getting an actually gift.  4/6 of them are getting a coach wristlet that I got for a great deal at the outlet store with a 20% coupon they handed out the day I went.  Each got a different pattern to match their styles.  Then, my Maid/Matron of Honor is my sister and I am not quite sure what to get her.  She is a shoe addict for I might do a big gift card to DSW for her, and something along those lines.  My last Bridesmaid or Best Man is getting a bridesmaid wine glass and a couple bottles of wine.  She’s not the Coach type, but LOVES wine.
