Have you thought about making a ring with a matching pendant?

Do a google search for Toi et Moi rings. I think it would be awesome to set these in a way that represent you and your husband. Here is mine, which is vintage. Of course it is smaller (.20 each), but I just love the symbolism and romantic design.

hisfavoritewife :  I thought the same, or even something like this–you could put your DH’s birthstone in the middle, respresenting his mother on one side and you on the other.

ETA: Image from Lang. The sentiment of something created to reflect both of you in his life may outweigh any objections he has to changing from earrings to ring. The same design could also be used for a pendant.

beethree :  Yes, exactly! Such a sweet sentiment. Or put your MIL’s birthstone in the middle and have you and your Darling Husband represented by the diamonds. Any combination could have special meaning.

hisfavoritewife :  That is stunning. Is it an heirloom? If not, where did you find it?

I would create a shield design with a white gold plate in the middle with the date of my wedding inscribed as each diamond sat one top and bottom.  The drawing is crap but you get the idea 🙂

Lucky you! I would add a gemstone and make a 3 stone ring. With warmer diamonds, I would consider 18kt yellow gold. I’m not fond of moi et toi style rings.

hisfavoritewife :  Oh goodness, I should have guessed. I follow them on IG and drool over the rings constantly. They had a pear diamond on there a while ago that I fell in love with, despite never having considered myself a fan of the shape before!

I’d recommend doing the opposite with the metals, do yellow or rose gold (yellow will be more timeless and less likely to get dated IMO) and do the prongs in platinum as its stronger. It will still highlight the gorgeous warmth of the diamonds, but be safer!

i love the toi et moi ring that was posted! Omg gorgeous!

Have you considered a cluster ring? But with big asymmetrical stones? Not the typical cluster ring you think of but if you search on Pinterest it’s very nice! Sorry photos aren’t uploading
